Six Fabric ‘Musts’ for Fewer Wrinkles

Whether you are preparing for a trip or you simply hate ironing, wrinkles can be laborious and time-consuming. It’s impossible to look smart and trendy if your clothes look like they have just been liberated from a tin can. So, here are a few fabrics to look for to make your life easier…

• Wool- is a natural material, that is incredibly wrinkle-resistant and excellent at keeping you warm and cosy.

• Lyocell- also known as Tencel, is a semi-synthetic form of rayon that is soft, strong and resists wrinkling.

• Polyester- is a synthetic fabric that is soft, comfortable, durable, affordable and wrinkle-resistant.

• Cashmere- is a natural, luxury fabric, acquired from goat hair, that is lightweight, soft and crease resistant. (Fabric made from Alpaca hair is even more wrinkle-resistant)

• Knits- is usually made of wool yarn and technically classified, as a fabric as it is made from interlocking loops of thread, but it can also be made from cotton and synthetic fibres. Thicker knits (and thicker fabric in general) are less prone to wrinkles than thinner options.

• Spandex- is a durable synthetic fabric that when blended with other materials helps to make the fabric as a whole, more wrinkle-resistant.
